About This Award

Supply Chain Excellence Awards is a annual media recognizing excellence in Manufacturing. Organized by Akabo Media, it covers the Europe region. Established in 1997.

The Supply Chain Excellence Awards, organized by UK B2B events and media company Akabo Media, have run since 1997 and mark their 30th edition in 2026 — a fixture of the European supply chain calendar drawing entries across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, transport and logistics. Judging is two-stage: a written entry assessed on innovation, business benefit, competitive advantage and collaboration, followed by an online presentation and interview with a judging panel of senior practitioners (collectively claiming over 750 years of experience), all of whom sign confidentiality agreements covering entry material.

Roughly 26 categories span industry verticals and functional disciplines, with winners announced at a black-tie ceremony at the Grosvenor House hotel on London's Park Lane each November. The program drew more than 220 entries in the previous cycle, and because judges provide feedback to entrants, even shortlisted teams that don't win get an external benchmark — the organizers bill the program as the standard for best practice in European supply chain management, and the judging feedback is a large part of why entrants return.

Entry is free, which removes the usual budget barrier — the real cost is effort. Entries typically open in spring and close in late June or early July (the 2026 deadline was extended to 3 July), the shortlist follows in July, and shortlisted teams must present to judges online at an assigned slot; joint entries should have all partners present, as the organizers warn that missing partners significantly lower winning chances. Strong submissions quantify business impact, evidence genuine collaboration, and document scope of change and sustained results, since second-stage judging explicitly scores management commitment and organizational communication.
