The Women in Tech & AI Global Awards is an annual recognition program celebrating the most accomplished women in technology and their allies. Organized by the WomenTech Network — a community of over 200,000 women in tech across 179 countries — the awards honor individuals and organizations that demonstrate excellence, innovation, and leadership in the technology industry.
The virtual ceremony features live award presentations, keynote speeches, fireside chats, and interactive networking sessions with face-to-face meeting capabilities. The program recognizes leaders across 7 major category groups and 29 individual award categories spanning Executive Leadership, Expert Categories, Corporate Excellence, Community Impact, Startups & Products, WomenTech Network-Specific Awards, and Special Recognition.
Award categories include recognition for CIOs/CTOs, AI & Machine Learning leaders, Software Engineering leaders, Product Management leaders, Cybersecurity leaders, Cloud & Infrastructure leaders, and many more. Corporate awards celebrate Best Employer for Women in Tech, Most Innovative Company, and Best Workplace Culture & Innovation. Startup categories recognize AI & Enterprise Startups, Impact Tech Startups, Female Founders, and Startup Investors.
The selection process combines expert jury review with community engagement. Applications are evaluated by impartial panels of industry leaders, tech veterans, and domain experts. Certain categories, such as the Community Award and Speaker of the Year, incorporate public voting through social engagement metrics.
Key eligibility requirements:
• Nominations are open to women and allies worldwide in the technology industry
• Applicants must complete the official application form for their chosen category
• Category-specific criteria apply (e.g., C-suite roles for executive categories, active community membership for network-specific awards)
• Multiple category submissions are permitted
The awards ceremony is held virtually in December, enabling global participation. Winners receive digital award certificates, public recognition on the WomenTech Network website, and access to the network's global community of tech leaders.
