About This Award

QS Reimagine Education Awards is a annual industry award recognizing excellence in Education. Organized by QS Quacquarelli Symonds, it covers the Global region. Established in 2014.

The QS Reimagine Education Awards, launched in 2014 and long co-organized by QS Quacquarelli Symonds (compiler of the QS World University Rankings) with the Wharton School, are a global competition-plus-conference for innovation in education, often described as education's 'Oscars.' The 2026 edition runs 15 award categories across five themes — Future of Learning (including AI Innovation in Education), Future of Universities, Future of Work & Skills, Sustainability Education, and Values — and every project is assessed by a minimum of three independent judges drawn from education, edtech, policy, research and industry. The program draws well over a thousand entries in a typical year; the 2019 edition received 1,184 applications from 39 countries, evaluated by 160 judges.

Recognition comes in layers: shortlisted projects receive an e-badge, e-certificate and a place in the Innovations Directory; category winners take Gold, Silver or Bronze; regional Gold winners are named; and a Grand Jury selects two overall winners — the Global Education Award (US$25,000 cash) and the Global EdTech Award (US$25,000 in cloud credits) — announced at the awards ceremony in London. For universities, the award is credible third-party validation of teaching innovation; for edtech companies, a Gold or a global award is a widely used procurement and fundraising signal.

Entry is free, which makes the main investment the quality of the submission itself. For the 2026 cycle, the deadline is 31 July 2026 (23:59 BST), with winners unveiled at the London conference later in the year. Categories offer distinct pathways for academic versus enterprise entrants and early-stage versus mature projects, so choose the track that matches your evidence base — judges consistently reward measured learning outcomes and employability impact over product descriptions, so strong entries lead with data on what changed for learners.
