About This Award

Euromoney Awards for Excellence is a annual industry award recognizing excellence in Finance. Organized by Euromoney, it covers the Global region. Established in 1992.

The Awards for Excellence are the flagship awards of Euromoney, the London-based financial research and publishing group, and were launched in 1992 as the first program of their kind in global financial publishing. Several hundred financial institutions from more than 100 countries participate each year, making it one of the most comprehensive awards programs in banking. Winners are decided by Euromoney's in-house research team, which scores structured submissions and comparable financial metrics against pre-defined criteria, supplements them with follow-up interviews with business leaders, and cross-checks everything against independent market intelligence — there is no pay-to-win jury dynamic.

The program runs from country level up to global titles: Best Bank awards at country level, best-in-class regional awards, and headline global honours such as World's Best Bank and Banker of the Year (in 2025, DBS took world's best bank and Citi's Jane Fraser was named banker of the year). More than 40 categories span banking, investment banking, corporate and retail banking, digital banking and technology vendors, with eligibility extending to non-bank financial institutions, neobanks and fintechs. Results are announced at high-profile ceremonies and published online; a Euromoney award remains one of the most widely cited endorsements in bank marketing and on senior bankers' CVs.

Practically, the cycle opens in December (submissions for the 2027 awards open in December 2026), with regional deadlines running from late January to late February (in 2026: Middle East 23 January, Global and Asia 27 February); results are announced from July, with award ceremonies held between July and September. Euromoney does not publish an entry fee. Strong entries lead with three years of comparable performance data, concrete evidence of outperformance versus local peers, and documented client impact — and entrants should be prepared for follow-up interviews with senior leadership as part of the assessment.
