Walaa Mal

Walaa Mal is an accomplished IT Support Lead with over eight years of experience in healthcare IT operations, digital transformation, and service delivery. At King’s College Hospital in Jeddah, she oversees mission-critical IT services supporting more than 1,200 staff, 150+ clinics, and 100 inpatient rooms. The hospital performs 15 surgeries daily, serves 300+ outpatients, and manages over 100 childbirth cases monthly, making uninterrupted IT services essential.

In the past year, she has led major initiatives including the deployment of a hospital-wide IT Helpdesk system (ManageEngine), enterprise-wide email signature standardization (CodeTwo), and full IT setup for a hospital expansion with 25+ patient rooms and 12 nursing stations. She also implemented a hospital-wide IT asset management and procurement system, supervised high-profile events, and mentored junior IT staff.

Walaa holds a Master’s in Enterprise Information Technology and is pursuing a Doctorate in Digital Innovation & Technology Management. She has also published three international research papers in IT governance, e-government, and business strategy, bridging academic excellence with real-world healthcare IT practice.
