Future Female Scholars (FFS) is a student-built, code-first nonprofit empowering girls in STEM through technology, mentorship, and digital education. Founded by Vivian Liu and Claire Wang, two high school students, FFS was built entirely from scratch using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with custom-built frameworks and automation systems. The site hosts tutoring, scholarship tools, and an AI-powered chatbot that personalizes guidance for users in real time. FFS supports 700+ tutors, thousands of students, and has generated 10.3 million impressions, growing into one of the largest student-led STEM movements online. Vivian, a Barron Prize winner, TEDx speaker, and AJAS delegate, has been featured on PR Newswire, Scholastic Magazine, TEDxThirdWard, KHOU11’s Great Day Houston, BTW’s Channel Kindness, FOX26’s Chattin’ with Chelsea, Bold Journey, CanvasRebel, Houston Chronicle, Points of Light, and more. Together, the founders prove that young women can engineer scalable, purpose-driven technology that opens doors for others.
