Tasneem Essop

Tasneem is BScEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineer (Cum Laude: 79%) who graduated from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. With passions in strategy, mathematics, business, data analysis, software and art, she has subsequently gained experience and skills from working in various Engineering, Accounting & Business as well as Software Engineering & IT industries. She has also earned 7 Microsoft Certificate within 8 months. She has interest in emerging technologies, algorithmic thinking, AI, automation, Cloud services and the IoT. She has worked as a lead simulation engineer during the sounding rocket launch in March 2021, performing numerous simulations and data analysis during the launch preparations- representing one of two women on the rocket launch team that broke the African Hybrid Rocket maximum altitude record - prior to her consulting journey in the data and technology space. She has also worked as a software developer using C++ for simulation software at her previous company. Her versatile skills make her the perfect candidate to represent women in the technology industry
