About This Organization

Fatimah Amer is an activist who was one of Arizona’s 18 under 18 and works closely with her state congressman and local mayor. She is CEO of her nonprofit, SPARKHope, which provides resources to alleviate the social determinants. She is also a national advocate for UNCIEF USA and a youth ambassador to Mona foundation. Most recently, she launched a grassroots initiative PolicyPulse, which aims to inform young voters about health legislation this election cycle. As a dedicated social justice activist she tables at various community colleges and has recruited translators to help further the outreach of her efforts. In addition, she is also conducting groundbreaking research, and most recently designed a novel state of the art machine learning model for earlier diagnosis and prognosis of skin cancer. The biggest motivating factor for her is sharing her passion for STEM and engineering, reminding young girls the importance of using their voice to inspire others.
