Sophy Li is an early-stage investor at Headline, a global VC firm with teams in seven cities worldwide, including the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Headline backs companies from seed stage and beyond, with notable investments in Acorns, Bumble, Farfetch, Gopuff, The RealReal, Segment, SEMrush, Sonos, and Mistral AI.
As a generalist focused on B2B SaaS, Sophy has extensive experience working with and investing in pre-seed, seed, and Series A companies. Her background includes working with the Techstars NYC program, running the largest student-run accelerator at NYU, and sourcing companies for the former YC China's global investment team. Beyond her investment work, Sophy adds a creative element to her career by working part-time for a London-based modeling agency. She is also a mentor at Gaingels, where she helps founders connect with other investors within the network.
Originally from China and Singapore, Sophy completed her undergraduate degree at NYU and her graduate studies at Penn. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, baking, tennis, Pilates, and yoga.
