Shraddha Surana

Shraddha is the Global Data Community Lead for Thoughtworks and is also leading the AI/ML space for the Thoughtworks Engineering For Research (E4R) initiative. Her key responsibility is to coordinate with the community spread across 17 countries & ~40 offices. She is responsible for the growth of the community & grade changes for employees. She is responsible for laying out the best practices for data projects across all regions & countries. She works closely with recruiters and identifies the attributes required for the different roles related to data. She is one of the key decision makers in the kind of initiatives to be carried out in the data space in Thoughtworks. As a Global community lead, Shraddha hopes to continue leveraging established Thoughtworks best practices from software development in data, and bridge the gap between data and various roles.

Shraddha has extensive experience in leading software development and data science teams. Having dabbled in multiple domains, she considers herself a domain agnostic or a multi-domain data scientist. She has worked on projects involving price optimization, predicting customer churn, text analytics, route optimization and chat bots across use cases and is seen as an expert in her area both internally & externally. Currently, she is responsible for using Machine Learning for scientific discoveries in astrophysics, life sciences and drug discovery.
