I am a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing and developing complex distributed systems. Currently, I lead the Search Experience at DoorDash New Verticals which is a division focused on convenience and grocery shopping. I have designed and developed core search features like search filters and autocomplete and synonym support for better user experience. I have created end-to-end infrastructure to support data ingestion and aid search on the DoorDash app. I have led the development of search relevance metrics which have been adopted as a company-wide standard metric. I lead design discussions and provide advisory support on search to different orgs at DoorDash. Before DoorDash, I worked at Amazon AWS where I created a platform to onboard customer's streaming clusters like Kafka & RabbitMQ with AWS Lambda. This enabled multiple big customers like McDonalds and OkCupid to onboard AWS Lambda and generated an overall GMV of +100M USD within the first month of its launch. Before that, I worked as a full-stack engineer at WizeCommerce which owned multiple comparison shopping e-commerce websites. At WizeCommerce, I designed and implemented complex products and features end-to-end to enhance the websites and migrate services to AWS. I have double Masters in Computer Science with research experience in database and distributed systems. I have two research publications at IEEE conference with multiple poster presentations at ICDE, SoCC, NorCalDB conferences.
