Mariya Giy is a software engineer and AI innovator dedicated to building technology for human-centered impact. At ParentSquare, she designs systems that support communication for over 20M families in U.S. schools. Mariya is also the founder of Hackico.AI, a research-oriented tech organization whose open-source toolset has been downloaded over 1.5 million times globally, with the AI-codegen package hati-command recently trending on The Ruby Toolbox. Driving AI innovation, Mariya co-created the Early Insight & Engagement System (EIES) with a Professor at California State University, Northridge, US - a research-first AI platform designed to better enable communities to support adolescent well-being with earlier, more compassionate interventions.
Mariya holds a degree in quantitative sociology and has years of engineering leadership across Europe and the U.S. She brings a unique perspective: bridging innovation and human needs by developing solutions that are technically sound, socially responsible, and globally significant.
