Lerato Boikanyo

Lerato's professional journey spans over a decade, covering diverse sectors such as automotive, tech start-up, and mining. Over the years, she has taken on various roles, gaining extensive expertise across different facets of technology. She currently serves as a Service Delivery Manager in the financial services sector, bringing a wealth of experience and insight to her work in tech.

Raised by a single mother, Lerato had a front-row seat to what it means to be resilient and resourceful—qualities she continues to carry with her. Her Soweto upbringing remains a constant reminder of why she shows up: to be a voice of hope, break barriers, and inspire the next generation. Her deep understanding of the challenges facing young people from underserved communities led her to establish LadyTech Africa—an initiative dedicated to empowering and guiding young women from underserved communities to confidently pursue careers in STEM and shape the future as innovators, highlighting the transformative power of education and technology.

Through her multifaceted commitment to technology, education, and youth development, Lerato Boikanyo serves as a WomenTech Network Global Ambassador, a member of the G20 Empower Tech Equity Work Group, and a sub-committee member of Seat At The Table Connect Education—embodying a holistic approach to professional and societal impact. In addition, Lerato actively mentors university students and early-career professionals, offering guidance and support.
