Jasleen Bedi

Jasleen Bedi is a Senior Associate Application Engineer at Discover, passionate about building technology that empowers people and communities. Originally from India, she moved to the United States 11 years ago with a vision to become a successful web developer—a dream she has realized while expanding her expertise across diverse technologies and domains. She holds a Master’s degree in Web Development and Databases from Bradley University in Peoria, IL.

Her journey into mentorship began after the sudden loss of her younger brother, whom she often guided. To fill that void, she turned her grief into purpose by dedicating herself to uplifting students and early-career professionals. Today, she is a committed mentor, TEDx speaker, and advocate for inclusivity in technology. She has guided students at national conferences, hackathons, and university programs, helping them translate ambition into real opportunities. Recently selected as one of 100 Grace Hopper SpecSquad ambassadors out of more than 1,000 applicants, she amplifies access and representation in tech communities worldwide.

Her commitment to mentorship has grown her LinkedIn community to nearly 9,500 followers, reflecting the lasting impact of her guidance and voice. Universities and professional organizations have also recognized her contributions, inviting her to judge hackathons, serve on panels, and inspire audiences at TEDx.
