Ts Dr. Raja Rina Raja Ikram is a passionate academic leader, technologist, and community advocate currently serving as the Head of the Software Engineering Department at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FTMK), Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM). She holds a Bachelor of Software Engineering from the University of Melbourne, and a Master’s and PhD in Computer Science from UTeM. Her multidisciplinary expertise spans software engineering, health informatics, TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training), and educational technology.
With a lot of experience in higher education, Dr. Rina is committed to transforming learning environments through meaningful university–industry–community collaborations. She has led numerous impactful outreach programs, most recently in collaboration with onsemi, reaching over 3,000 students and teachers from 368 schools across Malaysia. These initiatives focus on empowering future-ready learners through STEM, robotics, micro:bit coding, and AI-driven learning experiences.
Dr. Rina was honoured as one of Asia’s Top 50 Women in Tech Leaders under the Asia Women Tech Leaders Award (AWTLA) and selected in the prestigious Bett Asia EdTech 10 list, which highlights outstanding women driving transformation in the education technology ecosystem across Asia-Pacific. Both recognitions affirm her role as a regional changemaker and mentor who champions gender equity, digital access, and innovation in education.
