I'm Harley Cunningham. I work full-time at Virgin Media O2, leading their operations strategy. I'm driven, resilient and love a new challenge. I completed the London Marathon this year and have recently qualified to become a Bereavement Volunteer Counselor for charity, Cruse. I've got 20-years experience in Customer Sales and Marketing roles.
On top of my day job, I also enjoy mentoring and supporting Women in Tech and host events for International Women's Day to encourage women to apply for more senior roles.
However, over the last few years I have been pursuing a personal mission to improve employee wellbeing in the face of bereavement, since the loss of my 2-year old twin son. I have most recently worked with the Virgin Media People department to build out the organisation's bereavement strategy which includes Manager and Employee bereavement toolkits and a Hug in a Box to show that Virgin Media really care for that employee and want them to feel supported and that they belong, when the worst has happened. Virgin Media have been a fantastic employer in listening and developing my ideas to better support employees going through a bereavement, creating a workplace where people feel they can be human and talk about loss and mental health. Virgin Media has now become a UK best-in-class corporation for Bereavement Support.
