Aji Fama Jobe

Aji Fama Jobe is an Information Technology Consultant based in Banjul, Gambia, and the visionary founder of Baobab Bytes, a platform dedicated to demystifying AI, cybersecurity, and technological governance trends throughout Africa. She currently serves as an IT Consultant at the World Bank Group, where she strengthens digital infrastructure and bridges technology with sustainable development.

As a passionate Women Techmakers Ambassador for Banjul and mentor to Anglophone West African chapters, Aji champions gender inclusivity in tech through visibility initiatives, capacity-building, and grassroots mentorship. Her commitment to digital literacy and STEM outreach empowers women and girls across Gambia’s diverse communities.

A recognized speaker at international tech gatherings such as PyCascades and PyCon US 2025, Aji shared her insights on leadership, narrative-building, and awareness—emphasizing the importance of intentional visibility in tech communities.
