Barbara Pierce

Barbara inspires women to become CEOs of their wealth, using it to drive meaningful change. She founded Women with Capital, a private community supporting progressive women to align their capital with their values. In five years, members have directed over $150 million into impact investments and philanthropy, with plans to increase this. Her vision unites women philanthropists and investors with over $50 billion in net worth to leverage their influence and direct private capital toward creating the future they envision. With 30 years advising leading philanthropists on climate change, racial and gender justice, and education, Barbara bridges investing and giving. She manages her family’s investments, is active in Women Donors Network, International Women’s Forum, REDF Advisory Council, and invests with How Women Invest, Portfolia, and Asteri Collective. A Cape Cod native and Wellesley alumna, she lives in Marin County with her husband and teen son.
